Dalton le dale is a real place in the county of Durham, North east of england. The real place never had a railway despite being a villiage between the collieries the actually railway ran on a incline a mile south of a villiage. the layout is set as if the villiage was served by a railway and the colliery line has now been replaced by the incline (probably due to the steepness of the gradients of the line from the villiage) and is now dissused.
